What’s In a Name?
A lot of people have asked the meaning behind our logo and name.
Dumpling Happiness is a word play on the Chinese character 囍, or “Double Happiness”. It’s actually a ligature (for all of you design nerds out there) for “Happiness” or “Joy” (喜) doubled up next to each other. Our logo is based on the “Double Happiness” character which is often used as a feng shui cure for those not lucky in love, or it’s used during wedding celebrations to bring good luck and harmony to the couple.
We like to think our logo represents the marriage of dumpling to mouth and the resulting happiness thereafter.
